Privacy
What we collect
Your phone number, the messages and sign photos you send, your reminder schedule, and billing status from Stripe. If a photo carries a location, you share one, or you text where you parked, we keep it only to answer when you ask where your car is. If you send a report from our Report an issue page, we keep what you write there and any screenshots you attach. We do not collect your card number, your contacts, or your location in the background.
How we use it
Only to read your sign and send your reminders and receipts. Sign photos are read by an AI service and kept 30 days, then deleted. We never sell or rent your number or share it for marketing.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
Service providers we use
A short list of companies handle your information only to run the service:
- Messaging: Sendblue sends and receives the texts, carried by the phone carriers and Apple.
- Hosting: cloud hosting and storage providers run our servers, database, and photo storage.
- AI sign reading: Anthropic reads sign photos and messages under commercial terms that do not allow it to train on what we send.
- Payments: Stripe collects your card and billing details and emails your receipts.
- Street lookups: to name the corner nearest a photo's location or a shared pin, we send that map location (never your phone number) to New York City's public street map (NYC Open Data).
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the service or someone's safety.
How long we keep it
Sign photos: 30 days, then deleted. Screenshots attached to a report: 90 days, then deleted. Messages and parking sessions: while your account is active and a reasonable time after, so we can fix problems. Consent and billing records: as long as we need them to show you agreed and to meet tax rules.
Delete your data
Delete your data anytime by emailing hi@pleasemoveyourcar.com with the number you text from. We delete what we hold except the records we must keep for billing, tax, or to show your consent. Reply STOP to any text to stop the texts and the billing.
Children and changes
Please Move Your Car is for adults who drive. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above, and for changes to how we use your number we will text you.
